It is extremely important that you learn to use your autoresponder responsibly In the world of unsolicited email and spam laws. Autoresponders are very powerful marketing tools and they make our lives much simpler, but they can quickly turn your life into a nightmare, if they are used in a way that are not intended!
First, never add people that should not be there to your autoresponder mailing list. They should automatically be added if they have requested information from you, and to make them confirm that they have requested the information, you should have a ‘double opt-in’ method in place. It will to protect them and you too.
Each autoresponder message should include a link that the recipient can click that will automatically remove them from the mailing list. You will be breaking the spam laws, without this link, and you risk having your website, your email, your ISP service and then your autoresponders shut down!
I’m sure that we all want to build a list of a million people, but beside you must do so responsibly, you also does take time. In an attempt to build a large list, don’t get in a hurry and break all the laws and rules. This will only result in losing your list altogether!
