Actually, Feedburner is free web service that can maximized our blog feed works. Shortly, we are allowed to register our blog feed to Feedburner and we will given a new feed as the replace of our current blog feed. This will more easy to manage all setting in blog, including compatibility and re-publish feed.
Tab Optimize
This tab contain many fitures that we can use to optimize our feed performance. Generally, we only need to activated SmartFeed, which is use for making our feed compatible with various feed reader.
*Reach the widest possible audience while publishing a single feed on your blog or site. Translates your feed on-the-fly into a format (RSS or Atom) compatible with your visitors’ feed reader application.
Just click “SmartFeed” and in the next screen click “Activate” button to activated it.
Tab Publisize
This tab contain fitures to publisized our feed to out there online. The first thing must we do is activate FeedCount, which useful to showed the amount of our feed subscriber.
*FeedCount is another cool way to promote your feed. It is a dynamic graphic that always displays your feed’s current circulation, as calculated by FeedBurner.
In the left menu, just click “FeedCount”. In the next screen, you can change color setting that you want. Then click “Activate” to activated it. Just copy and paste the given code in your blog in where you want to place it. FeedCount also useful as a link to your blog feed, therefore beside can be catched by search engine machine and become backlinks, also it makes easier to visitors to subscribe feed.
Next, we will give a life to PingShot. This fiture use to get to know another ping services that is our blog have been updated or change. Over all, we can give ping to 10 services at a time.
*Most web-based feed reading services will check for updates on their own time. Give ‘em a push with PingShot. Choose the services you want to ping, and we’ll notify them when you publish new content.
Like as usual, from the left menu, just click PingShot button. Give check mark to the current two ping services (Ping-O-Matic and Newsgator). Then in the dropdown menu, add another 5 ping services, you can choose what services you like. Usually, I have added Feedster, IceRocket, Google Blog Search (this is MUST!), Weblogs.Com, and FeedBlitz. The last, click “Activate” to activated it.
The last fiture is Email Subscribtion, which if we use this fiture, your loyal visitors can follow your updated blog via email. This fiture activated is the alternative for visitors who more love to email than feed reader services.
*Give your biggest fans another way to keep up with your blog or podcast feed by placing an email subscription form on your site.
Just click “Email Subscribtion” from the left menu. In the next screen, choose FeedBurner as your service provider, then click “Activate” button to activated it.
