Considering Header Page Function

What is exactly the function of header page? Why is it influencing on your website traffic? What are the criteria of the good Header Page? Let’s we talk about that.
As we all know, in the page layout of a website, header is the section that located on top of page. The head of page. This part oftentimes contains a title and slogan, logo, image support and navigation menu.
Besides for placing the above elements, header actually have important role in order to build your visitor’s trusty and satisfaction. Why? Because of header is the first part of the page that directly visible by visitors when they visits your website. If you have an appetizer (header) that make boring or disappointed, then automatically hard to invite the visitors to read your main course (site content) that laid.
Just believe for the aphorism “first sight first attract” that not only prevail for advertising, but also occur when you surfing websites on the internet. Imagine while you visits to the sites titled “Cat Lover”, but in the header part instead shown as murdered cat with cut up (such like in Untraceable). So screamed right? Except you are a psycopath, I believe that you will close directly your browser and go to another site.
A good header would be making their visitors feel comfortable when they see that. At least they will not feel bored. The better is that if a header can reflecting the personality of the website.
By the way, how about the SEO side of the page header? Well, with the measurement of the search engine crawled to the page from up to down, then header had better if:
1. Title page should be placed in the header section with using tag heading H1 (title) and H2 (slogan).
2. Words or sentence that contains main keyword should be placed in the header section, including title of page and slogan.
3. Just avoid to adding elements that does not important and useless in the header section.
4. Avoid using header image that have big size.
