Today I have received email notification from Adsense support team that their Adsense Referrals program had been retired soon, precisely in the last week of August. So if you placed the code of the referrals, then better if you remove or replace with the Adsense Ads Content continue to effectively monetize your ad space. Here is the detail of the message:
